Sparkle Tutoring Policies

To ensure a consistent, focused, and respectful tutoring experience for everyone, please review and follow the policies below. These are in place to support your child’s success and protect our tutors’ time and energy.

1. Communication & Meetings

  • We are happy to provide guidance to parents in the form of coaching and/or Q&A sessions. We also are happy to meet with teachers and specialists at your child’s school as a team. These will be billed at the same rate as tutoring sessions for students.
  • Zoom meetings with parents or teachers must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling a session requires at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. Sessions rescheduled  inside of this window will be billed at the full amount.
  • If a session needs to be canceled for any specific reason, we require at least 48 hours’ notice.  Sessions canceled inside of this window will be billed at the full amount.
  • If cancellation is for the remainder of the season (e.g., summer), please provide 1 week’s notice.

3. Session Environment

  • We are happy to have parents in the introduction/ relationship building session with students, to help the student acclimate and feel comfortable to meeting with their tutor. After this, we would ask you to let us work directly with the tutor 1:1.
