Our team meets with kids based upon their individual needs. For younger students, we often meet for 30 minute sessions once or twice a week, and for older students we meet for 1 hour. Our team is flexible, and understand that schedules and student needs often change, and we are always happy to work with what is best for your kids!
Building relationships with students is our top priority. This is what makes us different! The first tutoring session is free, as we use this time just to build relationships with kids. We talk about all things that they love! We ask them about their strengths, interests, hobbies, favorite things. etc., as this is our way to make sure that we can connect and incorporate their strengths and interests into each tutoring session. This also helps to create engagement and a trusting relationship right from the start.
YES! We believe that it is important to be on the same page and work as a team with teachers at school. We are always happy to connect with teachers at school to make sure that we are supporting your child in the most efficient way possible.
Our team works with students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.
We are trained and certified in the Orton-Gillingham approach to support reading and spelling. We also are able to support students in math and writing. Each of our talented tutors have classroom and outside tutoring experience with a variety of age ranges and areas of specialties, and therefore we are able to match your child with the best tutor for your child’s specific needs.
BOTH! Most of our tutoring sessions are held virtually through the remote model using Zoom. Our team of tutors are incredibly creative, engaging, and talented and are able to use multi-sensory teaching approaches virtually.
Our tutors are based all throughout the country, but we absolutely LOVE to connect with our students in person if we live in the same city, or happen to be traveling in the same city. If we happen to be in the same city, we are known to have tutoring sessions over ice cream cones!
